We cannot say enough good things about Scranton Heating and Cooling. Our furnace acted up and died during the worst freezing temperatures, ice, and snow in years. They had our new furnace ordered and replaced quickly even when the icy weather was slowing down if not stopping travel from everywhere. We were offered a good selection of furnaces at different prices and efficiencies and any questions we had were promptly answered so that we could make an informed decision about what was right for us. There was no pressure to choose the most expensive unit. The cost was very fair and competitive with the added bonus of them being local. The employees we dealt with were very friendly and professional and they took great care not to track mud through the house and to clean up after they were done. We highly recommend Scranton Heating and Cooling.

Excellent service! called for service on a Sunday morning with a problem with the furnace, and being these cold temps we needed help ASAP! A technician arrived within 2 hours! He assessed, performed maintenance and explained the evaluation and repairs. Super nice guy, and would highly recommend to others.

Patti and I have been fortunate to own the business for more than 35 years. We have seen many changes over the years, with family members joining the business as well as many other great employees. We have always tried to maintain a customer first attitude in our business. We are extremely happy to see our business continue to grow with new ownership as Patti and I move toward semi retirement.

About us

We, at Scranton Heating and Cooling, have been providing comfort to the residents of West Central Illinois for 35 years. John and Patti Scranton purchased the business in 1985. In 2020, they turned the business over to the 2nd generation, Jeff and Nicki Ussery and Casey Scranton.

We provide our residential customers with high-quality Trane, Mitsubishi, and Geocomfort products to help ensure their comfort. We have been a Trane dealer since 1990.

The Scranton Heating and Cooling team has over 80 years of combined experience. We draw upon this experience and our continuing education to address any comfort concerns that our customers have.

Our customers come from all over West Central Illinois. We service Mt. Sterling, Griggsville, Perry, Quincy, Jacksonville, Meredosia, Beardstown, Rushville, Macomb, Camp Point, and many others.
